Festival of Italian Film in Moscow

Beginning on Tuesday, Moscow's Illyuzion Theater is facilitating the seventh Italian Film Festival, "From Venice to Moscow."

Over six days, the celebration will showcase motion pictures appeared at the 72nd Venice International Film Festival, which occurred in September of a year ago.

The celebration is a genuine treat for filmlovers. It is sorted out by the Venice International Film Festival and the Institute of Italian Culture (ICI) in Moscow.

Opening the celebration will be the film "Per love vostro," coordinated by Giuseppe Gaudino with Valeria Golino, who has gotten the prestigious Volpi Cup for best on-screen character. It will proceed with "L'attesa" by Piero Messina, "Non essere cattivo" by Claudio Caligari, "Harry's Bar" via Carlotta Cerquetti, "Pecore in erba" by Alberto Caviglia, "Bagnoli wilderness" by Antonio Capuano, "Banat (il viaggio)" by Adriano Valerio, "A Bigger Splash" by Luca Guadagnino; and "Sangue del mio sangue" by Marco Bellocchio.

Nine motion pictures make for a thick program. "Every film has its own subject, style and voice, however together they frame the social and social fabric of Italy," said Olga Strada, executive of the ICI, at the celebration's opening question and answer session.

The public interview was gone to the Italian minister to the Russian Federation, Cesare Maria Ragaglini; the performers Roberta Mattei and Massimiliano Gallo; film executives Giuseppe Gaudino and Carlotta Cerquetti; and Russian film critic,Vsevolod Korshunov.

This is Strada's first celebration as ICI chief. "Italian society assumes an imperative part in a city such as Moscow; it's a key a portion of Moscow social life," she told The Moscow Times in a meeting. In past years, she noticed, the motion picture theaters were pressed, not just with Italians living in Moscow or Russians inspired by Italian society, yet by film buffs. This year might be somewhat diverse, since Strada has conveyed to Moscow the works of acclaimed film producers, as well as exploratory motion pictures.
